Powder Coating Rubber Bushings
I don t think the 400 450f temp will hurt the rubber if you leave them in when curing the powder. As usual the hosuings have been powder coated gloss red for looks and protection.
These should stabilize the car and make the car more predictable on the track.
Powder coating rubber bushings. As far as the purpose of the bushing i believe it s just for vibration damping to uncouple the engine from the front of the frame handlebars. I have tried to remove the bushings only once using a bearing press. I may pass on the powder coating and paint it all instead.

Will likely be about a month before i get to it though. I planned to put new bronze swing arm bushings in anyway. I removed the shock mount bushings and the swing arm bushings on my cb750 f1 before powder coating the swing arm.
These will replace rubber bushings which deflect under braking cornering and accelerating. You might want to check with the powder coater but it is my understanding that the rubber bushing materal might melt when the frame is put in the oven to set the coating. Ordered some rubber mixes and will see if i can get a working mold.
With longer support bushing life comes longer brake pad life and a more consistent brake feel. Many suspensions also require a molded rubber support bushing. You will learn to recognize when there s a thick enough coating of powder on the part and how to deposit powder where you want it to go.
Maybe someone else has tried baking them. Lets hope nvh doesn t suffer to much. With a proper coating from coating systems you can increase the life of your support bushings greatly.
The new shock bushings were under 5 each the old ones were a pain to remove. Powder coating is an art. The bushings were in so tight i destroyed the swing arm.
I m currently working on painting the frame the case and the swingarm. Masking bores bushing before painting e coating or powder coating over the years industrial coaters have tried masking bores and bushings using tapes and die cuts which are inconsistent take way too long to install pull plugs which cost more than needed and even cardboard rolls resulting in leakage and a ton of quality issues. If they are removed make sure the mounting area of the frame is not coated otherwise it will be very hard to mount new bushings.
Support bushings are not only found in your braking system. That would save a couple of weeks in waiting for the parts to be done and 100 200.
